Influence of Social Media on Students' Academic Writing and Performance: A Study within Ghanaian Senior High Schools Setting

چکیده

The study explored the effects of social media on students' academic writing in Agona-West Municipality Central Region Ghana. This is a qualitative and underpinned by interpretive philosophical thought. data for this were collected through semi-structured interview documents. Three (3) senior high schools selected purposive sampling techniques snowball strategy was used to select thirty (30) students study. findings indicated that new trends sites affect spellings their school work. It also found out distract from effectively engaging works, thereby negatively affecting performances/results. will be value both English language teachers/learners, planners curriculum developers exposing them sources errors providing useful suggestions overcome them. contribute body knowledge drawing attention educators/planners integration technology, particularly media, facilitate effective teaching/learning.
